Trade, Industry Minister discusses executive plan with Siemens delegation

Egyptian Minister of Trade and Industry, Amr Nassar, met Siemens delegates headed by Emad Ghaly, CEO of Siemens Egypt, to follow-up on the implementation of memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed by ministries of industry and trade, education, and technical education and training with the Siemens Company. This is in order to improve the competitiveness of the Egyptian industry, and the MoU was signed during the second summit of the G20 partnership with Africa held in Germany.

Nassar explained that the MoU is based on 5 key dialogues, including infrastructure development and digital transformation in industrial areas, providing support to factories in terms of energy support and efficiency and automation solutions, as well as the development of local machinery manufacturers, and supporting and providing financing services for the industry.

The minister pointed out that the support provided by Siemens under the agreement is concentrated in the sectors of automotive, pharmaceuticals, food commodities, chemicals, mining, petroleum materials and construction.
