Exterior design

The Audi A3, of course, is based on the A family’s design guidelines, but on a smaller and more sporty structure that specifically meets the requirements of young people, from the hood lines and the 16-inch sports rims to the great design of the headlamps, reflecting the sporty identity mixed with the beautiful spirit.

For the rear part of the vehicle, we can find an attractive trunk with simple taillights. The aerodynamics of the car have been developed significantly, reaching the highest speed in record time.

To appreciate the beauty of A3, it must be seen at night on the dark roads being equipped with intelligent LED lights which melt your mind and make you fall in love with the car immediately.

Cabin

The A3 is very impressive in all its parts, but the most distinctive feature of it is the cabin. The car is predominantly sporty, but the cabin is characterised by a simple blend of luxury and simplicity. The steering wheel is a multi-function wheel that helps the driver to focus on driving only because it provides control over most of the car’s functions. It can be used to switch gears, control the entertainment system, make calls via Bluetooth, and access navigation computer. The driver can also use the cruise control from the back of the steering wheel.

Looking behind the wheel, we find a carefully selected harmonised colour display panel, but more than that, the animated information screen, which mediates the 12.3-inch car dashboard, gives you enough information about the car’s parts and systems, as well as navigation systems.

Engine and performance

The A3 is small but comes with a revolutionary three-cylinder engine with a turbocharger that delivers 115 HP at 5,000 RPM and a 200 Nm torque, linked to a 7-speed S-Tronic automatic transmission, to easily nail a zero-to-100 km/h pull of 9.9 seconds, a limit we have reached during our test drive and not in similar driving conditions to those experienced by the company’s drivers but on Cairo streets. The car’s top speed is 280 km/h.

We used some car enthusiasts to test the engine’s ability without first knowing the car’s specifications. We asked what they expect the size of the engine, they all said it must be over 1.4 litre with a turbocharger. When we told them the real engine capacity, some doubted us.

This small engine has made the small car so graceful, adding to its unforgettable sporting personality.
