Egyptian expatriates’ remittances increase by 8% in 10 months

During the period from January to October 2018, the total value of Egyptian expatriates’ remittances increased by $1.6bn to reach a total of $21.4bn, an increase of 8%, compared to $19.8bn during the same period last year, according to Central Bank of Egypt (CBE).

The CBE said that the total value of remittances of Egyptians expatriates during October 2018 recorded a rise of $298.9m, a17% increase, to record about $2.1bn, compared to $1.8bn in September 2018.
