The Ministry of Housing has begun the implementation of the R5 residential district at the New Administrative Capital on 1,000 feddans and is named as the New Garden City, according to the Prime Minister and Housing Minister Mostafa Madbouly.

Madbouly said that the New Garden City will include 23,000 housing units of apartments and connected, semi-connected and separate villas in addition to a number of luxury units.

He explained that the architectural style that will be followed in the implementation of this R5 is the old French style, similar to the architecture implemented in downtown Garden City.

Madbouly added that all services will be provided in the neighbourhoods such as health, education, religious services, sports, recreational, daily commercial activities and others.

He pointed out that the neighbourhood also includes residential towers with mixed usage and activities in the lower floors, with about 2,000 housing units and a 5-star hotel.

The new Urban Communities Authority (NUCA) has completed the implementation of its first district within the new administrative capital, known as R3. It has about 25,000 residential units with areas ranging from 100 to 180 sqm, in addition to about 1,000 villas with spaces ranging from 230 to 328 sqm.

Abdel Mutallab Mamdouh, vice president of NUCA, said that 30,000 housing units are planned to be implemented in the Sakan Misr project in the New Administrative Capital, ranging from 90 to 115 sqm.

The residential neighbourhood of the New Administrative Capital was officially launched on 25 June 2018.

Petrojet implements 1,008 units at the residential district for NUCA, Concord for Engineering and Construction implements 1,792 units, Talaat Moustafa Group develops 2,096 units and the Arab Contractors Company builds12,000 units.

The New Administrative Capital is set to be a 270-square-mile hub, with 21 residential districts to accommodate up to five million people.

The city will feature 1,250 Mosques and Churches, a 5,000-seat conference centre, nearly 2,000 schools and colleges, over 600 medical facilities, and a park that is projected to be the world’s largest.
