Two people were killed since last Friday in two different police stations in Kafr Al-Shiekh and Beni Suef, according to different statements from the prosecution.

In Kafr Al-Shiekh, a 32-year-old tuk-tuk (three wheel vehicle) driver allegedly committed suicide on Sunday inside the Fowah police station, the prosecution said, citing that he had “family and financial problems.” He was arrested and detained inside the police station over accusations of hitting a person with his tuk-tuk. The prosecution added, according to local media, that there is no connection between his death and him being detained.

In another context, a barber died on Friday as he was inside the Beni Suef police station. He was reported to have gone inside the police station to file a report against another individual who threatened him and his business.

The prosecution said that he suffered from a diabetic shock, and they ordered the body to be buried. However, two days later, the prosecution ordered the CCTV footage of the vicinity of the police station to continue its investigation.
