Daily News Egypt’s former editor, Emad El-Sayed and sister news organisation Al-Borsa’s bussiness reporter Moustafa Fahmy, won the journalistic excellence award, organised by Egypt’s Press Syndicate.

The award was given for their unique feature coverage. El-Sayed was awarded for his feature titled “Refugees in Germany: tales of diaspora and dreams”, through which he tackled the issue of Arab refugees in Germany and their adoption to struggles.

For his part, Fahmy was honoured for his economic feature in which he discussed governmental drug subsidies and the cheaper medicine alternatives.
