CAIRO: Zamalek manager Hossam Hassan has no concerns by the postponement of the Cairo derby, but hopes to face Ahly before the January transfer window.

The crunch game scheduled for Nov. 26 has been postponed indefinitely following an order by the interior ministry.

"Of course we cannot complain as long as it is a political decision," said the Zamalek manager.

"But I think it would be unfair to play the game after the winter break when each team had completed its new transfers.

"For example, our new signing Ahmed Samir cannot play before January and the same goes for Ahly’s winter recruits."

Ahly’s top January signing is former striker Emad Meteb, who re-joined the league champions after controversially terminating his contract with Standard Liege.

The Egypt striker scored twice against Hassan’s team in his very last match back in April; a 3-3 league draw.
