CAIRO: Mido could end his English adventure and play in Turkey or Greece next season, Sky Sports reported on Wednesday.

The Egyptian striker should return to English second-division side Middlesbrough in the summer after spending this season on loan at Zamalek and West Ham.

He scored one goal with Cairo club Zamalek in the first half of the season before moving to English Premier League side West Ham in January.

He is yet to score his maiden goal with the Hammers, who did not say whether they were interested in signing him on a permanent basis.

Skysports.com said that some leading clubs in Turkey and Greece are keen on acquiring Mido’s services in the close season.

Turkish giants Fenerbahce and Galatasaray are understood to have shown an interest while Greek sides Olympiakos and Panathinaikos are also believed to be keeping tabs on the situation.

Zamalek, who suffered from the lack of reliable strikers this season, said recently they were looking to bring Mido back to the club.

The towering frontman, who stated more than once that he was unlikely to return to Middlesbrough, did not comment on Zamalek’s announcement.
